Like a princess

My dad de-weeded the patio just so I could take these pretentious photos in my dungarees.

Also, I promise that my hands aren't surgically attached to my pockets, I just never know what to do with them.

I had forgotten how hard and time consuming it is to take outfit photos. Normally I just wake Adam up, force him to pose for a test shot, direct him as he takes four pictures in four minutes before releasing him of his duties and letting him go back to bed. It felt so awkward to set everything up and run between my tripod and my spot on the concrete, smiling into a lens or at my garden fence.

I feel like Mia Thermopolis in these dungarees, I feel like I should be throwing darts at paint filled balloons and writing angsty diaries curled up in an attic with a cat.

I have wanted dungarees for a while, but I absolutely had to get a pair when I saw Louie's wonderful outfit as an extra in my friend Jake's video for Tom Williams. They look so comfy and effortless. So I perused all my usual online clothes sites until I settled on this pair from Forever 21. By the time they arrived, I had decided that I would send them back because I couldn't really spare £20 for a pair of dungarees that I didn't actually need, but I loved them so much that I kept them.

I probably should have put some more effort into this outfit seeing as this post is pretty much the only thing I have done today. I should have put on some killer red lipstick, a delicate gold necklace and some shoes. But this is an honest representation of what I wore today. I'll wear it to Wetherspoons tonight as well, though I will try to put on shoes.

My home life really has become quite mundane now that I have finished country hopping and boyfriend hosting. I had a great weekend visiting my sister and now I'm back in my little village sat on my laptop in my room all day. I'm hoping to use this week for seeing people, sorting out US paperwork and sewing. I really want to make a hideous pair of leggings so perhaps they'll make an appearance at some point in the future. Though I will try to write a more interesting and intellectual post in between to break up these vain ones!
